Practice Overview:

  • EMR Platform EPIC
  • Responsible for physicians and advanced practitioners within the practices as it pertains to breast surgery
  • Work with administrative leaders in setting the strategic vision for the breast surgery practices/program
  • With administrative partner(s), identifies new treatment modalities and opportunities, including the development of practical business plans to support the identified ventures

  • Chairs the NGHS breast committee, leading the committee process improvement activities and in meeting standards to obtain NAPBC accreditation and to develop overall best practices

Working together with Physicians like you:

  • MD or DO with general or surgical specialty training
  • Active, unrestricted DEA license
  • Breast Surgery Fellowship training required
  • Minimum of five years practice experience preferred or 10 years of experience in lieu of fellowship training
  • Medical staff leadership experience preferred
  • Training in clinical quality improvement preferred
  • Active participation in national organization in breast specialty preferred
  • Minimum of 0.9 FTE breast surgical clinical practice
  • Clinical expertise in breast cancer, including the latest treatments
  • Participant experience with the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and/or the American College of Surgeons Accreditation preferred

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in service line/specialty with leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in strategic program development and creating capital and operating budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately coach, counsel, and develop clinician team members
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Preferred previous experience with peer review policies and processes
