Job Description: Introduction to Construction Trades Program Coordinator

Introduction to the Construction Trades Program Coordinator

Days per Week: Open

Hours per Week:  20

Location: Pittsburgh Gateways, Energy Innovation Center (EIC)

Travel Required: No

Hourly Wage: $25 per hour

Position Type: Contract

Position Summary

The Introduction to Construction Trades Program Coordinator supports participants in the construction trades pre-apprenticeship program by tracking progress, coordinating resources, and maintaining participant records. This role functions similarly to a case manager, ensuring participants achieve personal, educational, and professional milestones. The coordinator will also utilize a CRM system to document, track, and report participant engagement and outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesParticipant Support & Follow-Up

·        Assess participants’ strengths, needs, and barriers to success.

·        Develop, monitor, and update individualized action plans.

·        Recruit and enroll new participants by reviewing referrals and applications

·        Provide support during crises and intervention as needed.

Resource Coordination & Program Tracking

·        Coordinate training, mentorship, and job placement resources.

·        Utilize a CRM system to maintain detailed participant records, track progress, and log events.

·        Communicate participant progress to staff and stakeholders through weekly updates, reports, and evaluations.

·        Identify and connect participants to additional support services as needed.

Professional Development & Program Enhancement

·        Stay current on construction trades industry trends, training programs, and participant support strategies.

·        Participate in professional development, educational opportunities, and networking with industry partners.

·        Contribute to the improvement and innovation of the program to maximize participant outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

·        Experience with CRM or case management systems is required.

·        Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

·        Ability to analyze participant data and make informed decisions.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Strong interpersonal skills: empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution.

·        Ability to manage multiple participants and maintain confidentiality.

·        High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
