About the Role
As a EHS Specialist-Wood Protection-in Conley, GA, you will play a critical role in supporting Arxada's North America Wood Business Unit and its national customer base. You will provide expert environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulatory guidance, own and manage hazard communication documentation, and partner closely with Commercial, Product Safety, and Regulatory Affairs teams. This role is ideal for a collaborative, solutionsoriented professional who thrives in a customerfacing environment and is motivated to go beyond compliance to deliver meaningful value to customers and the business.
Essential Job Functions
  • Author, manage, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and GHS/OSHAcompliant labels for the Wood Business Unit using SAP, representing a core responsibility of the role
  • Provide timely, practical EHS and hazardous materials regulatory guidance to customers and internal commercial partners (e.g., OSHA, HazCom/GHS, DOT, RCRA, NPDES)
  • Support customer technical inquiries, complaints, and compliance escalations by coordinating with crossfunctional stakeholders and documenting consistent responses
  • Conduct customer facility assessments and audits, delivering clear findings, recommendations, and followup actions
  • Support customer EHS program development, including written programs, SOPs, training materials, and corrective action plans
  • Prepare and review regulatory forms, reports, and permit documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Develop and deliver EHS and product stewardship training for customers and internal teams as needed
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 5 years of advanced experience in EHS, product safety, or related regulatory roles
  • Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state regulations, including OSHA, RCRA, DOT, and NPDES
  • Experience with SDS authoring and maintenance systems (SAP EH&S or equivalent required)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex regulatory topics clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are preferred

The expected salary range for this role is 90-100k annually but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other jobrelated, nondiscriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a shortterm incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
