Position Summary:The Regional EHS Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture at designated Clayton Facilities, including those within the Home Building, Heibar, and Supply Groups. This role involves close collaboration with onsite EHS and Plant Leadership to drive the commitment and continuous development of both short-term and long-term goals. Key objectives include reducing waste, eliminating hazards and injuries, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the continuous development of the current EHS Managers and EHS Coordinators to ensure up-to-date practices and ability to influence change in the location.
  • Ensure EHS plans and procedures are established within assigned home building facilities with direct and clear communications throughout the facility. Plans and procedures could include but are not limited to hazard reductions, injury elimination, environmental improvement, recordkeeping for environmental compliance, team member wellness, worker's compensation, and injuries within the facility.
  • Elevate current EHS processes within facilities to better engage our team members in safe and healthy working environments.
  • Ensures compliance with and communication on all ISO, DOL, OSHA, DOT and EPA standards through knowledge and expertise in all areas, holding home building facility leadership accountable, when needed.
  • Provide consistent and clear training and direction on expectations for accident tracking, accident investigations, accident reporting, return to work processes, etc. at the home building facility.
  • Complete regular check-ins with EHS Director and other leadership to ensure accuracy and completion of all EHS tasks and functions.
  • Participate in EHS assessments, audits, and investigations within assigned facilities.
  • Review and communicate Near Miss, recordable and lost time injuries, corrective action, and root cause analysis. Accident Case studies or any other regulatory information from each facility.
  • Lead facility wide projects / initiatives that increase the EHS culture company wide.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (4 year) degree preferred.
  • 5 years' prior experience in EHS related role.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%+ of the time.
  • Demonstrated competence of ISO standards and practices and OSHA, DOL, DOT, EPA regulations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to think both critically and analytically.
  • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal and ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Must continuously use the highest level of personal integrity and business ethics. Faithfully executes all applicable regulations of local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Primarily works in home building facilities and when in office, an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
  • Work primarily involves sitting/standing and a lot of walking.

Travel Requirements:

  • As Needed, up to 40%
