As an Occupational Safety Sr. Analyst, you'll lead initiatives that integrate safety and environmental programs into our day-to-day operations. Your expertise will guide us in achieving sustained improvements in safety performance, compliance, and environmental stewardship. You'll be instrumental in supporting the location's manufacturing teams, identifying solutions for workplace safety, and leading a proactive approach to EHS management.

Responsibilities
  • Implement, execute, ensure compliance with the Pepsi - North American Beverages EHS policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA regulations (i.e. Lockout, Haz Com, Machine Safety, SARA, RCRA, etc.)
  • Lead the development and implementation of the EHS Annual Operating Plans and EHS Action Plans for the location.
  • Achieve annual targets rates for Lost Time, Recordable, Severity, and Environmental.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, environmental incidents.
  • Demonstrate solid employee relations experience, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Conduct EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements, Zero Zone Management System standards, Emergency Response and internal PepsiCo EHS procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures. Recognize and verify the effectiveness of in-place control measures.
  • Identify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment use.
  • Exercise a leadership, coordination, and communication role with the location leadership to drive continuous EHS improvement across the location.
  • Complete root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniques.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,200 - $134,250.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 5 years of EHS experience, including regulatory compliance and auditing.
  • Knowledge and experience with EHS Management systems and their deployment.
  • Preferred Environmental or Safety degree.
  • EHS management experience in a related industry, including consumer packaged goods, distribution/ transportation, manufacturing, or grocery industry.
  • Increasingly responsible work experience in the safety or environmental field. 
  • Functional EHS knowledge in regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental regulatory management, risk management, behavior-based safety, training, regulatory agency enforcement.
  • Strong project management skills including financial responsibility, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, execution, and start-up/commissioning, managing multiple concurrent projects/programs.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environments.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), handle multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to make and deliver training presentations, work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven.
  • Team-oriented environment, maintains confidentiality, and makes independent decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader by influencing all levels of the organization to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
