Job description

SYSCOM is seeking a Senior EHR Application Analyst to provide advanced technical support for the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications. This role serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring the effective utilization of EHR systems across the organization and supporting complex clinical and business workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong Epic HB Coding experience โ€“ and possess and Epic HB Coding Certification, along with a proven track record of analyzing workflows, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving successful application enhancements and implementations.

Work Schedule: Must be available during Central Time Zone business hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead analyst and subject matter expert for assigned EHR applications.
  • Analyze business operations and collaborate with stakeholders to configure and optimize EHR functionality.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection processes, reporting requirements, and technical system components.
  • Coordinate application implementation activities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for application maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support decision-making related to EHR application design and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and user experience.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Certifications (Must Have All)
Certifications
  • Epic HB Coding Certification (Required)
  • Epic Resolute HB Certification (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Epic HB Coding software and related domains, including:
    • Workflow analysis
    • Application design
    • Programming
    • Project management
    • EHR application support and implementation
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Additional relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Completed college coursework may also be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Resolute HB Certification
  • Experience supporting large healthcare organizations or academic medical centers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
