Job description

JOB TITLE: Test Engineering Technician, EE Systems LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite) PAY RANGE: $36 - $46/hr. DURATION: 6 Months TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in test engineering, electrical/electronics/mechanical technology, or related fields
  • Strong experience reading electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and assembling or repairing wiring harnesses
  • Proficiency using EE lab equipment, including Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, and Oscilloscopes
Job Description: s a part of our Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations team, our test technicians set up, execute, and debug tests on our sensors and compute hardware. Our team is responsible for manufacturing and testing hardware to ensure high performance and high reliability. We are detail-oriented to ensure our test plans are executed with high fidelity. We are collaborative and work together to tackle projects as a team. We are looking for motivated individuals who have experience with electrical subsystems, aren't afraid to challenge themselves, and are eager to learn. Responsibilities:
  • Test prototype-related assemblies with support from engineering & R&D
  • Provide expert inputs in the prototype phase and design review meetings for related assemblies
  • Work closely with Engineers to ensure that products under development are optimal for manufacturability
  • Final test of assemblies and test of components and assemblies
  • Failure Analysis and repair of Assemblies
  • Generate detailed Failure Analysis Reports as required
  • Create and review test instructions and provide inputs for refinement and improvements
  • Test and troubleshoot Engineering prototype units as required
  • Maintain test equipment calibration and lab tools
  • Support of Design automation test fixtures and related software/firmware
  • Test and calibration of sub-assemblies and final assemblies
  • Follow drawings, written and verbal instructions to complete work assignments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical/electronics/mechanical technology, or equivalent
  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and/or engineering drawings
  • Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses
  • Experience with EE lab equipment (Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, etc)
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience reworking PCBAs
  • Shock, vibration, thermal, and IP test experience
  • EMC test experience
  • utomotive ECU test experience
  • Familiarity with Linux command line
