Job description

Description:

This is the voice of BELLAMI inside the professional community, the account stylists check before they buy, before they book, and before they invest in their next certification.

As Pro Social Media Manager, you own the strategy, content, and daily heartbeat of BELLAMI’s social channels. You translate technique into scroll-stopping content, turn our educators and community members into recognizable faces, and build a feed that a licensed extension specialist would actually save, send to a coworker, and come back to.

We are looking for someone who speaks stylist, who knows the difference between a Flex Weft and an Infinity Weft, who understands why a tape-in retail conversation is different from a K-Tip consultation, and who can make both of those things entertaining.

Base Salary: $85,000

Annual Bonus: 5% annual bonus based on individual and company performance

Hybrid Schedule: This role requires to be onsite at our Culver City office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays

Key Responsibilities

  • Pro channel strategy. Own the content strategy, calendar, and posting cadence for BELLAMI’s professional-facing social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook groups, and emerging platforms), with distinct goals from consumer/DTC social.
  • Edutainment content. Build a content engine where education is the entertainment — technique breakdowns, method comparisons, install time-lapses, myth-busting, troubleshooting, before/afters, and behind-the-chair storytelling that teaches something in the first three seconds.
  • Community management. Live in the comments and the DMs. Answer real technical questions, escalate what you can’t answer, spot the stylists worth building relationships with, and make the community feel seen rather than marketed to.
  • Creator and educator partnerships. Partner with BELLAMI Academy educators, community members, ambassadors, and pro creators to source, brief, and produce content. Coach them on what performs without flattening their voice.
  • Shoot and cut your own content. Capture on-site at shoots, classes, trade shows, and salon visits, then edit platform-native vertical video with a fast turnaround. You are comfortable being both behind the camera and, when it serves the content, in front of it.
  • Launch support. Build the pro social layer of every product launch, education drop, and Stylist Society initiative from teaser through evergreen in lockstep with Education, Influence, Sales
  • Brand voice stewardship. Protect the line between aspirational and inaccessible. BELLAMI should read premium, credible, and genuinely useful — never gimmicky, never condescending to the professional.
  • Trend translation. Track what is moving in beauty and pro-hair social daily, and decide fast what BELLAMI should join, adapt, or sit out. Not every trend is on brand.
  • Measure and iterate. Report weekly and monthly on engagement, saves, shares, follower growth, video retention, and pro-account conversion. Bring a point of view on what the numbers mean, not just what they are.
  • Social listening. Surface what stylists are asking for, complaining about, and comparing us against — and feed it back to Product, Education, and Brand.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of social media experience, including at least 2 years owning channel strategy — not solely scheduling or executional support.
  • Experience at a modern beauty brand (hair, color, tools, skin, or cosmetics) with a professional or salon-channel audience. Agency experience counts if the beauty client work was substantial.
  • Demonstrated fluency with the professional beauty community — stylist relationships, education programs, trade shows, or licensed-pro audiences.
  • Proven track record growing an account’s engaged following, with metrics you can speak to.
  • Hands-on short-form video production and editing (CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent) plus solid on-site capture skills.
  • Strong copywriting — you can write in a brand voice that is not your own.
  • Comfort with social management and analytics platforms (Dash Hudson, Sprout, Later, Emplifi, or similar) and native platform insights.
  • Willingness to travel for shoots, classes, and industry events (approximately 10–15%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active cosmetology license, or hands-on experience behind the chair.
  • Personal or professional experience with extension services — wearing them, installing them, or selling them.
  • Experience supporting a stylist education program, certification curriculum, or ambassador/affiliate community.
  • Paid social or creator-whitelisting experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus given our pro community.

Benefits And Perks

  • Base pay of $85,000+ with additional 5% annual bonus
  • 401(k) with company match - $ for $ up to 4% - immediately vested
  • Vacation/Holiday Leave
  • Great Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement
  • And so much more!
