Job description

Innovative Education Studios (InEd Studios) at the University of South Florida is seeking a Video Production Student Assistant to support our team with the production of innovative videos for online courses and USF initiative. The position is ideal for a USF student looking to gain hands-on experience in multimedia production while working up to 20 hours per week.

Schedule: Flexible around class schedule, somewhat flexible within business hours of 8am - 5pm. Please attach class schedule and resume.

InEd Studios at USF creates engaging multimedia content to enhance learning in blended and online courses. From video and animation to podcasts and graphic design, the team collaborates with faculty and staff to produce high-quality, immersive educational media. With state-of-the-art facilities like a custom LED volume for virtual production, InEd Studios also partners on special projects, pushing the boundaries of educational and creative media.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a degree seeking student in good academic standing at the University of South Florida.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Adobe CC.
  • Enrolled in the College of Design, Art, and Performance or in the Zimmerman School of Mass Communications 
  • Experience editing video with Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience creating Motion Graphics with Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience working mirrorless and/or cinema style cameras
  • Experience with 3D modeling.

Special Requirements:

  • Must have an interest in video production and post-production.
  • Excellent writing, researching, proofreading, and editing skills.

Support video production team in the production of innovative videos for online courses and USF initiatives.

Assist on productions both in studio and on location.

Post-production/editing and graphics.

Pre-production: scheduling, scouting locations, script writing.
