Job description

Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America's drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems America and its allies needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter future conflicts, or else win them.

We're building a lean Marketing organization of creatives and operators who want to move fast, take extreme ownership, build a brand from the ground up, and tell the Neros story.

What you will be doing

You'll own Neros' entire video post-production pipeline: edit, color, and sound, as well as asset management, versioning, and platform-specific formatting. Partnering with videographers and designers on the Marketing team, you'll produce long-form docu-style edits, social cut downs, product sizzle reels, factory tours, company milestone announcements, and anything else we need to tell the Neros story.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end video editing workflow at Neros including edit, color, sound, VFX, and formatting
  • Manage multiple concurrent video projects of varying scope and complexity
  • Manage multi-platform versioning for web, social, and brand activations
  • Work closely with Marketing leadership to implement rapid feedback loops

You should have the following

  • 5+ years in video editing, preferably in action sports, motor sports, defense, aerospace, robotics, tech, or hardware industries
  • Expert level experience in editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and a professional audio workflow (Pro Tools, Audition, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering against a spectrum of storytelling such as docu-style, high-energy sizzles, and commercial-grade output
  • Demonstrated experience shaping narrative in visual storytelling
  • Demonstrated experience owning a digital asset management tool (Frame, BrandFolder, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm for low-structure, high velocity startups where you'll lean on your judgment and creative instincts more than pre-defined process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A portfolio that clearly delineates where editing was a sole versus shared responsibility, and what specific deliverables you owned in group efforts

Nice to have

  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, or Houdini
  • Experience with motion design
