Job description

This position will support the School of Health Professions (SHP) students and faculty in the area of effectively incorporating educational technology into pedagogical and pragmatic learning strategies and models. Faculty development for this area has been deficient in the past. As the incorporation of learning technologies increases in the different curricula for the six academic programs in the School of Health Professions, there is a need for instruction, for both faculty and students, in the effective use of educational technology.
Duties:
  • Design and implement activities to assist faculty to improve their teaching skills'.
  • Assist faculty in reliably assessing learner's acquisition of knowledge and skills
  • Assist in online curriculum development and instructional design
  • Assist in the design and implementation of methods to evaluate online courses and educational technology
  • Develop and carry out research related to Technology, Pedagogy and content
  • Knowledge concepts in a professional healthcare education environment
  • Serve as a lecturer and online educational technology support to SHP faculty
