Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Hold a valid Administrative Certification, Educational Leadership Certification, or Special Education Certification; Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification preferred.
  • Have a minimum of five years of experience working with disadvantaged, at-risk, or vulnerable youth in educational, residential treatment, foster care, behavioral health, or community-based settings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of IEP and 504 processes, virtual learning platforms, and educational advocacy.
  • Possess strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Have experience supporting youth impacted by trauma, behavioral health challenges, or commercial sexual exploitation preferred.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and be able to meet all Devereux background, health, and training requirements.
