Job description

Salary:

Canary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering firm specializing in civil-engineering-related monitoring and instrumentation applications. Projects include monitoring of earth and concrete dams, bridges, tunnels, and buildings. We operate across construction, mining, geotechnical, industrial, and public infrastructure markets.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mining) to be based out of our Montral, Qubec office, supporting Canadian projects and other global projects as needed.


Responsibilities Include:
- Develop project proposals, specifications, and designs
- Manage project installations and client relationships
- Manage subcontractors and Canary Systems staff
- Prepare project documentation and reports
- Assist with client technical support
- Coordinate internal and external project resources
- Prepare project/case histories for marketing and sales
- Present project/case histories at conferences and client meetings


Expertise Required:
- Software including database technologies (SQL, ODBC)
- Geotechnical data reduction and presentation methods
- Geotechnical instrumentation applications and installation
- Monitoring systems including electronics and software
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Survey technologies including robotics and GPS


Language Requirements:
- Fluency in French and English is required
- French: native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred
- English proficiency required for internal and international coordination
