This program works with young adults ages 18-22 on employment skills, post-secondary training, independent living, and recreation and leisure.

About Zumbro Education District: ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include Triton, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, Byron, Hayfield, and Blooming Prairie. ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to www.zumbroed.org for details). ZED has been in existence for over 30 years. **ZED just opened a brand new 61,000-square-foot constructed building for all programs in Kasson (MN) in the 2022-23 school year.
Job Summary: The specialized paraprofessional position is designed to assist in the delivery of educational services to youth identified as students with special needs ages 18-22. Assistance will be provided on an individualized or small group basis under the direction of a special education licensed teacher. The services we offer are designed for students who have completed four years of high school and require continued academic and functional support as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We foster a collaborative partnership between parents, students and community agencies to support the transition to adulthood, at no cost to the student or family. Our primary objective is to promote independence in all areas of students' lives.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Able to record and summarize data in written form for educational staffings. Prior experience with secondary students with special needs. No prior medical condition which would impair the delivery of services based on the student's IEP.
