Job description

Kenyon-Wanamingo Schools has an opening for aย Special Education Paraprofessional.ย 
Position Summary:ย  Under the direction of supervisors and certified staff, paraprofessionals provide direct and indirect services to students to meet instructional goals and objectives:
*Adapt instructional materials, equipment or strategies under the direction of the teacher or other certified professionals to provide differentiated instruction, accomplish objectives and meet student needs.
*Utilize proactive behavior management techniques reinforcing positive behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques, and redirecting inappropriate behaviors.
*Assist students in daily routines, including escorting students during arrival and departure to classes.
*Provideย supervision in school areas such asย the lunchroom,ย playground orย gym, and at school related activities off site.
*Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:ย  M-F, Hours 8:15 a.m.3:15 p.m.ย ย 
Salary Range:ย  In accordance with the ESP Master Agreement.
Compensation in accordance with the Education Support Professionals Agreement found on the website at kw.k12.mn.us under staff/employee contracts.
Class 1, Step 1 = $17.64 per hour
Education Support Professional Full Time Benefits; Benefits are prorated if between 20 and 39 hours per weekย 
Health Insurance: Single $9180 employer contribution, Family $16,212 employer contribution; 2 plans to choose from
$800 contribution toward Qualifying Health Savings Account
40,000 Life Insurance Premium and Long-Term Disability Premium Paidย 
403b Match: After completion of one year, employer will match up to $500 annually
Sick Leave: 15 days annually
Personal Leave: 3 days annually
