Job Description

As a Civil 3D BIM Content Developer, you will support the entire multi-disciplinary design team for Aviation, Highways and Roads, Rail and Transit, Bridges and Tunnels, Ports and Harbours projects. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining a high-quality, standardized library of BIM content including Civil 3D and Revit templates, blocks, set up files, shared parameters and property sets, adaptive parametric families and assemblies and sub-assemblies, object styles, catalogues and part lists to ensure efficient and consistent modeling across the project.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain the projectโ€™s BIM content libraryโ€”including Civil 3D and Revit templates, setup files, styles, families, assemblies, catalogs, and part listsโ€”and enforce consistent usage across teams.
  • Define and document the BIM content development roadmap, including process workflows, issue tracking and resolution protocols, and request/fulfillment procedures.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting to the management team on BIM content strategy and implementation.
  • Offer technical support and training to design and modeling teams on BIM content standards, usage, and best practices.
  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and refinement of BIM content to ensure alignment with project needs and platform updates.
  • Develop discipline-specific BIM content in alignment with specifications, applicable codes and standards, and vendor-specific data requirements.
  • Continuously advance the BIM content library as per AIR, EIR and BEP to support evolving project needs across design phases, construction, procurement, and operations.
  • Optimize all BIM content for model performance, coordination efficiency, and compliance with industry and project standards.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Engineering Program Lead to implement, monitor, and update the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of models and drawings to ensure accurate usage of approved standard content and adherence to project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the AEC industry, with at least 3 years in a dedicated BIM content creation role.
  • Expert-level proficiency inย Civil 3D object styles and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Revit family creation.
  • Proficiency in scripting, visual programming (e.g., Dynamo), or automation workflows in Civil 3D.
  • Experience developing BIM content for large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure or aviation projects.
  • Excellent understanding of BIM principles, standards, and data management.
