Job description

  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain a compliance program, including related policies, procedures, and processes, focused on Northern Colorado facilities
  • Serve as a role model for ethical management behavior and promote awareness and understanding of high ethical standards
  • Serve as the Compliance Program and HIPAA resource and liaison for Northern Colorado facilities
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce compliance standards and procedures
  • Coordinate program-specific workplans with internal stakeholders
  • Design and conduct routine and ad hoc auditing and monitoring activities
  • Create and monitor ethical and compliance standards and take corrective action
  • Monitor program effectiveness and implement improvements
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and education programs
  • Provide regular reports to leadership and compliance committees and present updates to board committees as needed
  • Investigate and respond to compliance concerns, questions, and complaints
  • Manage complex investigations and coordinate responses to government inquiries, audits, and enforcement actions
  • Document compliance activities consistent with legal requirements and organizational expectations
  • Maintain awareness of applicable laws, regulations, guidance, and enforcement actions
  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff if applicable
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or other relevant field
  • Five to seven years of experience in healthcare compliance or operations, or other relevant field
  • Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, regulatory compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, and HIPAA
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with executives, management teams, physicians, and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
  • Proficiency with computers and relevant applications
