USU Extension in Salt Lake County is hiring Part-time Education Assistants to play a key role in ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-managed environment for children participating in our evening educational events. Individuals in this position will be responsible for working with children ranging in age from 0-11. Assignments may include providing childcare for children 5 and under, including reading, playing games, doing crafts, and other engaging one-on-one or group activities, or supporting facilitators with behavior management during workshops for elementary students. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children from diverse backgrounds and can bring energy and creativity to play while also setting limits and managing difficult behaviors.
