As a Senior Director of Podcast Partnerships, you will be a senior revenue contributor responsible for expanding high-value B2B and Consumer Technology relationships and driving new business growth across the Vox Media Podcast Network. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior brand marketers and agencies, delivering innovative podcast and talent solutions that connect brands with highly engaged, intellectually curious communities at scale.

Leveraging Vox Media's premium podcast network - including leading shows and high profile talent across technology, business, sports, science, and culture - high-value audiences, and unique scale, you will build partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes. This role demands a consultative mindset, strong relationship-building skills, the ability to influence at senior levels of marketing organizations, a passion for podcasts and talent, and a relentless drive to grow revenue in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a long-term revenue strategy to expand business with existing and new B2B and Consumer Technology clients across the Vox Media Podcast Network.
  • Cultivate Executive-Level Relationships: Build and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers at major technology companies and their agencies - CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Heads of Demand Generation and Brand - positioning Vox Media as a go-to strategic partner for podcast and talent investment.
  • Proactive Market Engagement: Identify industry trends, evolving buyer behaviors, and client challenges within the B2B and Consumer Technology sectors, proactively delivering cross-platform podcast and talent solutions before RFPs are issued.
  • Consultative Sales Leadership: Translate client objectives into high-impact campaigns using Vox Media podcasts, host talent, video, social and live event capabilities.
  • Tech Category Authority: Serve as an internal and external thought leader on the B2B and Consumer Technology advertising landscape, providing market intelligence and insights to shape sales strategies and inspire innovative client solutions.
  • Revenue Accountability: Own forecasting, pipeline development, and quarterly and annual sales targets, with full accountability for results and strategic account planning.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, creative, production and operations teams to deliver custom, culturally resonant proposals that reflect how B2B and Consumer Technology brands communicate with their audiences.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent the Vox Media Podcast Network at key industry events, technology conferences, and client forums to expand our presence and thought leadership within the B2B and Consumer Technology ecosystem.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Proven Technology Media Seller: 10+ years of digital media and/or podcast & talent sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success in the B2B and/or Consumer Technology categories. This is a NYC based role.
  • Strategic Dealmaker: Skilled in complex, consultative sales to senior B2B and Consumer Technology marketing executives and agency leadership, with experience securing large-scale, integrated partnerships.
  • Podcast & Talent Native: Deep familiarity with the podcast and talent advertising landscape - editorial and talent integrations, multi-platform partnerships, scaled podcast buys - and a genuine passion for the medium.
  • Tech Insider: Strong understanding of how B2B and Consumer Technology brands approach brand building, thought leadership, and performance marketing, with an established network within those sectors.
  • Visionary & Entrepreneurial: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to anticipate market shifts and client needs before they surface.
  • Influential Communicator: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade at the highest levels of a client organization. Ability to think critically, connect advertiser needs to the right show and talent and communicate the value proposition with clarity and confidence.
  • Data-Informed Strategist: Comfortable leveraging performance data, audience insights, and category trends to craft compelling, measurable solutions that justify and grow podcast and talent investment.

In this role, you are not just selling media - you are shaping how B2B and Consumer Technology brands connect with audiences through premium audio and video content, trusted voices, and unique scale. As a Senior Director of Podcast Partnerships, your ability to see around corners, anticipate client needs, and deliver category-defining ideas will directly influence Vox Media's position as a leading force in the podcast and talent space!

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

This job is located in New York City and requires in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday, with additional in-person expectations for client and agency meetings in and outside of NYC.
