Gallery Books seeks an energetic and enthusiastic Editorial Assistant to support an Executive and Senior Editor, one focused on nonfiction (humor, memoir, and pop culture) and fiction (including character-driven suspense and upmarket commercial fiction), and the other focused on nonfiction (humor, cookbooks, celebrity memoir and essay collections, and pop culture) and commercial fiction (including rom-coms, women's fiction, and book club). The ideal candidate will be a voracious reader with a deep love of and interest in pop culture, and will have an interest in working on celebrity nonfiction in addition to and commercialfiction.
Responsibilities include: reviewing and evaluating manuscripts for acquisition; general administrative duties; organizing and scheduling meetings in MS Outlook; close and frequent communication with authors and agents by phone and email; expense tracking; handling all aspects of the production process; project research and fact-finding.

• Familiarity with the book production process and publishing
