The role is well suited for an experienced, detail-oriented E-Discovery litigation specialist who is confident managing electronic discovery, assisting attorneys prepare cases for mediation and trial.

Responsibilities:

• Manage electronic discovery workflows, including reviewing records, organizing case materials, preparing productions, and applying Bates numbering with accuracy.

• Support attorneys through pre-litigation, mediation, and active litigation matters by maintaining well-structured files and tracking key documents.

• Assist with trial readiness by coordinating exhibits, preparing case materials, and helping organize information for both bench and jury proceedings.

• Contribute to written case support by drafting or assisting with motions and other litigation-related documents when appropriate.

• Balance a consistent daily workload in a billable environment.

Perks of Firm:

·      Excellent paralegal tenure.

·      Work-life balance firm: low billables + mostly remote.

·      New managing partner is younger, tech-savvier.

·      “Our litigators are not aggressive. They are congenial and collegial people. They try to avoid litigation (and the cost) for our clients, seeking a resolution outside of the court if they can. This is not a highly intense environment. We’re calm, cool, and business casual every day!” - COO

• 5 to 10 years of experience in civil litigation here in CA.

• Practical experience with e-discovery platforms and processes; familiarity with tools such as Nextpoint is helpful, but comparable systems experience is acceptable.

• Background supporting trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, case files, and litigation materials; experience with TrialDirector is a plus.

• Paralegal certificate required; an attestation alone will not meet the qualification standard.

• Comfortable working in a hybrid arrangement with periodic onsite attendance in San Diego.

Pay is contingent upon fluency with the skills above, stability on resume, and caliber of firms worked at.
