Job Overview:


Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract eDiscovery Project Manager on behalf of our client, a global provider of computer forensics, eDiscovery, and attorney document review services specializing in helping corporations and law firms manage complex legal, compliance, regulatory, and cybersecurity challenges. Based in Tysons, VA, this role is responsible for managing end-to-end eDiscovery projects within a fast-paced legal services environment. The eDiscovery Project Manager will oversee data processing, review workflows, and production delivery while ensuring adherence to the EDRM framework and client requirements. This position is critical in supporting litigation and investigation efforts through accurate, timely, and secure management of electronically stored information (ESI).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full lifecycle eDiscovery projects from data intake through production delivery
  • Oversee project workflows in alignment with the EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model)
  • Coordinate with legal teams, attorneys, and internal technical staff to ensure project accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage data processing, tracking, and productions using platforms such as Relativity (RCA preferred) and Reveal
  • Perform or oversee data backup and handling using tools such as SCCM and/or Nuix ECC
  • Support scripting and automation efforts to improve efficiency in eDiscovery workflows
  • Ensure proper handling, chain of custody, and security of all electronically stored information (ESI)
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure client expectations are met
  • Troubleshoot technical or workflow issues during review and production phases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support complex litigation and investigation matters
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to stakeholders and clients

Requirements include:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience in eDiscovery or legal technology considered

Experience:

  • Strong experience in eDiscovery project management (required)
  • Experience working within the eDiscovery service provider environment (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Relativity (RCA preferred) and Reveal
  • Experience managing data processing, review workflows, and production deliverables
  • Familiarity with SCCM and/or Nuix ECC for data backup and processing
  • Experience with scripting/automation for workflow efficiency (preferred)
  • M365 Purview experience is a plus but not required

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the EDRM and eDiscovery lifecycle
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent legal matters
  • Strong technical aptitude with eDiscovery platforms and tools
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in high-pressure environments

Certifications:

  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) preferred
  • Other eDiscovery or project management certifications a plus

Knowledge:

  • Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • eDiscovery workflows, data processing, and document review lifecycle
  • Legal technology platforms including Relativity and Reveal
  • Data security, chain of custody, and compliance requirements
  • Litigation support processes and regulatory/legal standards
