Job description

LIMS ADMINISTRATOR MUST HAVE SKILLS
  • Experience with SCC (Soft Computer) LIMS, particularly version 4.x
  • Experience with modules DxPath and Flow (required)
  • Strong knowledge of file builds, system configurations, and integrations within LIMS environments.
  • Experience working directly with 3rd party vendors, particularly in managing tickets, system updates, and vendor meetings.
  • Ability to assess and troubleshoot production issues, including root cause analysis and ticket redirection.
  • Experience in designing patient report templates and workflow macros/actions.
  • Familiarity with EDI, result codes, and integration between LIMS and internal systems.
  • Bachelors Degree
LIMS ADMINISTRATOR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily Scrum Meetings: Actively participate in daily stand-ups to provide updates, track progress, identify blockers, and collaborate with the team on resolving issues.
  • Collaboration with SCC Vendor: Lead weekly vendor management meetings with SCC to review ongoing issues, track vendor ticket statuses, and ensure timely resolution. Generate weekly vendor reports for internal review.
  • System Integration Management: Oversee and manage integrations between LIMS and internal systems, ensuring smooth data flow, proper configurations, and alignment with lab operations. Monitor and troubleshoot any integration issues.
  • File Build and Configuration: Responsible for managing Oncology panel file builds, including markers, group tests, routing rules, and workflow triggers. Maintain and ensure accuracy in all file build processes.
  • Production Ticket Management: Review incoming user production tickets, perform root cause analysis, and work with the necessary teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • System Configuration Synchs: Manage and ensure synchronization of system configurations and file builds across environments (SB, Dev, QA, Production).
  • LIMS Configuration: Design and manage file builds, including new and existing Oncology panels, markers, group tests, and routing rules. Ensure proper setup of workstations, department configurations, and new lab IDs.
  • Report Template Design: Design and manage patient report templates, incorporating macros, canned message text, footers, and any required customizations.
  • Workflow Triggers and Macros: Configure and manage macros and actions that support automated workflows and enhance LIMS functionality.
  • EDI Reference and Result Codes: Manage EDI reference codes and result codes, ensuring accurate mappings and integration within LIMS processes.
  • System Enhancements & Testing: Collaborate with Lab operations teams to gather requirements for enhancements and new features, configure, test, and implement these solutions in LIMS.
  • Vendor Release and Hot Fix Management: Participate in vendor release planning and coordinate the scheduling of software hot fixes, ensuring proper testing and deployment in LIMS environments.
