Job description

NAVA Software is looking for an EDI Architect
Details:
EDI Architect
Location: Dallas, TX - Onsite
Duration: 12 months
Program context: Phase-two Oracle Fusion Supply Chain program for an enterprise retail/distribution client. Phase one (Procurement, P2P, O2C, Plan-to-Produce) is live. Phase two centers on a Supplier Portal rollout and a significant EDI re-architecture for long-term observability, traceability, and low supplier disruption.
Role Summary
Lead the re-architecture of the enterprise EDI / supplier B2B landscape. Design a modernized, highly observable, low-supplier-impact EDI platform intended to serve a 10-15 year horizon, integrated with Oracle Fusion SCM.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the current EDI landscape (multi-hop file/middleware flows) and identify observability, traceability, and reliability gaps.
  • Design the target EDI architecture and lead platform selection across Oracle native EDI/OBN, Informatica B2B Gateway, MuleSoft, and Axway against cost, observability, and supplier-readiness criteria.
  • Define trading-partner onboarding, transaction standards, exception management, monitoring/alerting, and reprocessing patterns.
  • Plan a low-disruption migration for existing suppliers/trading partners.
  • Provide architectural governance to the integration development team and interface with Oracle Fusion SCM architecture.

Required Skills
  • 10+ years in EDI / B2B integration architecture at enterprise scale.
  • Deep expertise in EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and supplier transaction sets (850/855/856/810/860/997, etc.).
  • Proven platform selection and architecture across multiple EDI/B2B tools - e.g. Informatica B2B Gateway/IDMC, MuleSoft, Axway, Oracle B2B/OBN.
  • Strong background in integration observability, exception management, monitoring, and reprocessing design.
  • Experience integrating EDI with Oracle Fusion SCM (Procurement/Order Management) and designing trading-partner onboarding with minimal supplier disruption.

Nice to Have
Retail/distribution supplier ecosystems and high-volume transaction environments.
Cloud data platforms (Snowflake) and modern iPaaS patterns.
Experience migrating off legacy multi-hop EDI stacks to a consolidated gateway.
