Job Summary

The Food Services ERP Student Analyst provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Dining Management System within a real campus dining operation. Student will work directly with Food Services leadership and vendor consultant specialists to help modernize operations, streamline procurement and inventory processes, and support data-driven decision making.

Primary Responsibilities

Students will participate in multiple phases of the ERP implementation, including process discovery, system configuration, and operational rollout.

Responsibilities may include:

ERP System Training

  • Learn how an ERP Dining Management System supports procurement, inventory, production planning, and financial operations.
  • Gain exposure to real-world enterprise software configuration and implementation.

Business Process Analysis

  • Document and analyze current dining operational workflows and manual processes.
  • Assist in defining improved processes enabled by the new ERP system.

Process Documentation

  • Create process flow diagrams for both current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") workflows.
  • Help build documentation and training materials for new operational procedures.

Procurement & Supply Chain Operations

Learn the full procurement lifecycle, including:

  • Requisitions
  • Purchase orders
  • Vendor ordering
  • Receiving
  • Inventory management
  • Invoicing

Food Production Planning

Learn how the ERP system manages:

  • Recipes
  • Cycle menus
