Position:  Director of Curriculum and Student Services: Certified #10003 

Location: Silver Creek School Corporation (SCSC) Central Office

Status:    Full-Time

Position Overview

SCSC is seeking an experienced and innovative educational leader to serve as Director of Curriculum and Student Services.  The Director will provide district-level leadership for curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, student achievement, and designated student services. The position will work closely with the Superintendent, administrators, teachers, students, families, and community partners to advance the goals of the SCSC Strategic Plan and ensure high-quality educational opportunities for all students.  The successful candidate will be a collaborative instructional leader who is committed to continuous improvement, data-informed decision-making, professional growth, and student success.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
  2. Successful experience as a classroom teacher.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to and practice of servant leadership.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated success as a collaborative and transformative educational leader who is culturally competent.
  6. Demonstrated growth mindset and commitment to reflective practice.
  7. Demonstrated ability to collaboratively establish goals, monitor progress, measure outcomes, and produce results.
  8. Ability to communicate a clear vision for curriculum, instruction, and student services to all stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Successful experience as a building level administrator.
  2. Experience evaluating and supervising staff.
  3. Valid Indiana School Administrator License.
  4. Experience in curriculum development, assessment, school improvement, and/or student services.

Major Areas of Responsibility

The Director of Curriculum and Student Services will provide leadership and oversight in the following areas:

  1. Curriculum, Instruction, and School Improvement 
  2. Assessment, Data, and Student Achievement 
  3. Professional Learning and Staff Effectiveness 
  4. Student Services 
  5. Student Due Process and Compliance 
  6. Grants and External Funding 
  7. Budget and Resource Management 
  8. District Leadership and Collaboration 

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.  

Work Year:  260 days per year (July 1st -June 30th)
