Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer with expertise in EDA tools support, shell scripting, System Admin and DevOps to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting tools and infrastructures to help design semiconductor products using advanced CAD tools, while also providing support for EDA tools and automating workflows through scripting and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and maintenance for EDA tools, ensuring smooth operation and integration with design workflows.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate design processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement DevOps practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment of design tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to refine and improve existing designs flow based on feedback.
  • Help maintain and update CAD libraries and databases.
  • Assist users in understanding and resolving technical issues related to CAD designs.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Communicate effectively with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Organize and manage documentation to ensure easy retrieval and reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in CAD design, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
  • Ability to explain technical information in a simple and understandable manner.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix System Administration (e.g., Red hat, Ubuntu)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Git, Jama, version control).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $95,000 - $150,000.
