Strategic Account Executive – Data Centers

Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking a results-driven sales professional with deep ecosystem relationships, experience selling electrical products and solutions into data center environments. 

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise across an electrical portfolio—including commodities such as conduit, wire, switchgear, and various electrical components and fittings. Established relationships with hyperscale end users, contractors, and systems integrators are essential, as is a demonstrated track record supporting large-scale projects and complex stakeholder groups. Candidates should be highly customer focused, understand how to build a strategy, and execute it, while possessing strong organizational and negotiation skills.

As a Strategic Account Executive – Data Centers, you’ll play a key role in expanding our presence within one of the fastest-growing industries in the market.


What You’ll Do as a Strategic Account Executive

In this role, you’ll drive strategic growth by developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and positioning Kirby Risk as a trusted partner within the data center ecosystem. You’ll combine industry expertise, business strategy, and collaboration to support customers through every phase of complex projects.

You’ll:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive sales growth and expand market share within the data center vertical
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale end users, contractors, integrators, engineering firms, and key decision-makers
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through consultative selling and strategic engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams, account managers, and vendor partners to deliver comprehensive customer solutions
  • Promote Kirby Risk’s full portfolio of electrical products, services, and capabilities to support customer needs
  • Utilize CRM tools, pipeline management, and analytics to drive forecasting accuracy and opportunity visibility
  • Negotiate agreements and support long-term partnerships that align with customer expectations and company objectives
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving data center strategies
  • Represent Kirby Risk with professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence in every interaction

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sales, data center operations, infrastructure, or related technical environments
  • Proven success supporting large-scale projects and managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure products including conduit, wire, switchgear, fittings, and related electrical solutions
  • Established relationships within the data center ecosystem including hyperscale customers, contractors, and systems integrators
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and sales analytics tools
