Job description

Overview

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Finance Intern to join our team and support the Finance Department with day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This internship is a great opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field to gain real-world experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.


As a Finance Intern, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to the financial decision-making process, reporting tools, forecasting methods, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards for internal stakeholders
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Conduct financial analysis on company performance, trends, and key metrics
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
  • Help reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Maintain financial databases and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing financial documentation
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
  • Assist in creating presentations and materials for internal financial reviews

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completed introductory finance and accounting courses
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
