The Nurse Educator Associate/Clinical Instructor position isa pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

The Part-Time Faculty Nurse Educator Associate/Clinical Instructor position is under the direction of the Executive Director of Nursing and Allied Health. The Nurse Educator, as a member of the nursing faculty, is responsible for the development and/or implementation of the nursing programs including, curriculum, policies, student advising, evaluation, mentoring, and collaborating with nurse educators, nurse educator associates, and Administration. This position involves clinical instruction at various clinical sites in Douglas County, Oregon and at the Umpqua Community College campus in Roseburg, Oregon.

QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse Program:
  • Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Have at least two years of recent registered nursing experience.
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice for the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, and nursing assistant.
  • Be academically and experientially qualified for the level of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
  • Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
  • Immunizations as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
  • Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (i.e. word processing, e-mail, learning management system, digital and social media).

Nursing Assistant Program:
  • Hold at least an associate degree in nursing. Have at least one year of recent registered nursing experience.
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice for the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, and nursing assistant.
  • Be academically and experientially qualified for the level of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
  • Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
