Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Structure & Bridge Design candidate for our Raleigh, NC office location or working remotely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections.
  • Perform routine and complex design of cast-in-place concrete slabs.
  • Understanding of general renewable energy nomenclature
  • Assist with the development of scope, schedule and budgets for projects
  • Assist with the management of projects and tasks
  • Assist with marketing and proposal development

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required, Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of solar structure design experience required
  • PE License is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in structural design software packages, specifically LPile, Mathcad, Excel
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for plan development
  • Proficiency with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability to create pile plot plans is as plus
