About the role:
Colliers Site Selection is one of the most analytically rigorous and client-focused teams in corporate real estate advisory. We partner with leading corporations, economic development organizations, and institutional clients to solve one of business' most consequential decisions: where to locate. Our work reshapes communities, creates economic impact, and puts our clients in positions to thrive for decades.
The Site Selection Consultant is a cornerstone of our advisory team, leading corporate location strategy and economic development consulting engagements from kickoff through final recommendation. Reporting to the team's leadership, you will independently manage complex client projects, direct cross-functional teams, and deliver executive-level analyses grounded in rigorous, data-driven methodology. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful client exposure and real ownership within one of real estate advisory's most intellectually demanding disciplines .
In this role, you will:
Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end management of corporate site selection and economic incentives consulting projects, including project schedule, budget, and quality of all client-facing deliverables
  • Develop and direct comprehensive site and community evaluations, synthesizing labor market data, infrastructure assessments, incentive landscapes, and operational cost comparisons into clear, decision-ready recommendations
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate internal and external project resources, ensuring all workstreams remain aligned with client priorities and engagement timelines
  • Collaborate with practice leadership and teammates to shape project strategy, prioritize key decision drivers, and anticipate client needs across the full project lifecycle
  • Lead client-facing meetings and presentations with executive-level polish and confidence
  • Execute practice initiatives including site identification and evaluation, economic incentives identification, estimation, analysis and negotiations, financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and internal process development

Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and develop new corporate and economic development consulting mandates
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Colliers brokers to establish site selection and economic incentives consulting opportunities across the organization
  • Participate in conversations with prospective clients and draft compelling engagement proposals and prospect pricing
  • Contribute to the practice pipeline and conduct appropriate follow-up with new and existing client leads
  • Build and cultivate strategic relationships with key partner organizations across private sector, economic development, real estate, and corporate advisory communities
  • Represent Colliers at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements on behalf of the practice on an as-needed basis
  • Contribute to Colliers' thought leadership platform through blog posts, white papers, and industry articles

Industry Presence & Relationships
  • Engage with commercial real estate brokers, economic development organizations (EDOs), utilities, and partner organizations through visits, presentations, and collaborative events
  • Attend national familiarization tours and industry consultant events to stay current on market conditions and community capabilities
  • Cultivate a robust and growing network of brokers and economic developer relationships across target markets and geographies
  • Extend Colliers' brand presence through professional social media engagement and active industry participation

What you bring:
  • 4+ years of experience in site selection, incentives, economic development, real estate advisory, or strategic consulting
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong command of project management methodology, real estate strategy, economic development principles, and financial analysis
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills - you translate complex datasets into narratives that resonate with C-suite audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead multiple corporate projects simultaneously and manage cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a track record of delivering on schedule and within budget
  • Proven strategic thinker with disciplined decision-making ability and execution follow-through
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Understanding of and ability to use GIS is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel as required (typically up to 25% but occasionally up to 50% depending on project stage(s))
