Senior Project Manager - Civil Site Development (PE)

Lead your civil engineering career where your work shapes communities and large-scale development projects across the Southeast. At Thomas & Hutton, you'll oversee complex site development projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and build strong client relationships within a company celebrated as a Best Place to Work. What you'll do:

Manage one or multiple civil site development projects for a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients
Oversee the preparation of construction drawings for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure
Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure successful project delivery
Lead proposal preparation and fee development efforts to support business development
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams
Visit client offices, job sites, and consultant locations to support project execution and client relationships
Oversee engineering work and ensure alignment with project objectives and company standards
Monitor project performance using Vision, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and technicians
Communicate project status, risks, and solutions effectively to clients and leadership

What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
12+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
Experience managing complex public and private civil site development projects
Strong understanding of civil site design, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
Experience planning, coordinating, and directing multiple large or complex engineering projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams in a collaborative environment
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing focus
Demonstrated business development experience
Strong leadership abilities and decision-making skills
Understanding of business financial metrics and project performance
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
