What This Role Will Do

As a Valuation & Advisory Intern, you will play an integral role in supporting our valuation and consulting professionals by conducting financial research, assisting in valuation modeling, and contributing to client reports. This role is designed to provide practical experience in business valuation, financial modeling, and advisory services, preparing you for a future career in finance, investment banking, accounting, or consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing financial models and conducting valuation analyses using the income, market, and cost approaches.
  • Collect and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and economic data to support valuation reports.
  • Research industry trends, economic conditions, and market transactions to provide insights into valuation methodologies.
  • Review and interpret legal and financial documents, such as shareholder agreements, operating agreements, and loan covenants.
  • Prepare supporting materials for client presentations, proposals, and financial reports.
  • Maintain and update databases of valuation transactions, financial metrics, and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple practice areas, including business valuation, real estate, energy & infrastructure, machinery & equipment, and litigation support.

What Makes You Successful in This Role

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with financial modeling and data analysis is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data, perform in-depth research, and apply critical thinking to valuation problems.
  • Basic understanding of financial theory, corporate finance, investment valuation, and general accounting principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial findings clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
