About the Team: We are looking for a lawyer to support our rapidly growing e-commerce business teams. Our legal team provides support to all aspects of TikTok Shop. We are looking for talented, and humble globally-minded attorneys who are technically savvy, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are strong team players. This is a highly collaborative, on-site role and requires five days per week in the office. Responsibilities: You will join a team that is dedicated to delivering excellent stakeholder service to achieve pragmatic solutions for the business. In doing so, you will: - Work with legal and product teams globally to review products, features, and new initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies to ensure legal compliance for TikTok Shop from a US legal perspective. - Coordinate with product, product operations, public policy, communications, and other cross-functional colleagues. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of TikTok Shop initiatives through legal review and providing guidance on relevant legal frameworks. - Review and analyze potential legal risks associated with new product developments and business strategies. - Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. - Provide legal support on a variety of e-commerce related matters.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s): - Bachelor's degree plus a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and a member in good standing of a U.S. state bar with experience in private law practice or in-house, providing product counseling for a technology company or application. - Experience working with international teams in various time zones in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. - Excellent and concise written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualification(s): - Experience in providing legal advice related to online platforms or e-commerce. - Familiarity with US consumer protection laws relevant to online marketplaces. - The ability to effectively interact with all levels of colleagues. - Self-starter with a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $127680 - $212040 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
