What you'll do

In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations of our online shopping platform across all Calgary Co-op lines of business, ensuring a seamless and inspiring experience for our customers.

  • Manage website layout including banners and widgets, ensuring seasonal, relevant, and promotional content is always fresh and compelling.
  • Optimize the online shopping experience to drive sales, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Administer product content: educational content, product recommendations, imagery, pricing accuracy, recipe selections, and category hierarchy.
  • Coordinate and execute approved digital marketing initiatives aligned with our eCommerce and Brand strategy.
  • Create and maintain online promotions including BOGO offers, exclusive online sales, etc..
  • Develop training materials to coach teams on eCommerce processes and best practices.
  • Partner with IT, external vendors, and QA teams on platform testing, issue resolution, and system performance monitoring.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement or modernization.
  • Provide application support to customers and store teams as required.
  • Participate in health, safety and environment (HSE) activities in accordance with company policy.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • College Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent retail industry experience.
  • 1-2 years of merchandising or operations experience.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines independently.
  • Customer empathy - a genuine passion for enhancing the digital shopping experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with UX, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Degree in Digital Marketing or a related field.
  • Familiarity with item and product management applications.
  • Experience in grocery, fuel, liquor retail environments.
  • Background in omnichannel retail (brick-and-mortar + eCommerce).
