Job description

Responsibilities
Altec, Inc. is hiring a Marketing Tradeshow & Events Specialist in Birmingham, AL (Corporate Office). This purpose of this position is to independently and collaboratively create and implement moderately complex marketing projects or assignments.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in Multiple Marketing Areas or Developing Expertise in a Single Area
  • Create/Develop/Plan initiatives to promote awareness of products and services.
  • Mentor/Coach/Guide team members
  • Operates with Some Decision-Making Latitude within Assignment/Project
  • Leads Projects of limited complexity
  • Leverage metrics to influence and drive (informed) Marketing Decisions
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts
  • May have direct reports and/or may assign work to others
  • All other duties as assigned

Roles may be specialized in the following areas:
  • Marketing Data & Analytics
    • Convert raw data into actionable insights. Employ data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities by gathering deeper insights, optimizing marketing objectives and generating a better return on investment.
  • Campaigns
    • Create, monitor and manage marketing projects to support goals of Altec businesses. Projects include but are not limited to paid advertising and print publications.
  • eCommerce
    • Drive eCommerce strategies to meet revenue goals while maintaining the eCommerce platforms to oversee product data, processes and models to provide an enhanced digital buying experience to users.
  • Communication & Creative
    • Develop creative content and distribute using ideal delivery methods. Conduct customer facing events, trade shows, internal events, social media.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Applicable Bachelor's Degree required
  • Four years applicable experience required.
  • Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience, not to exceed one year in total

  • Some travel up to 25% may be required.
    • Specific Assignments may have additional travel requirements.
  • Be a team player with a positive, professional attitude.

  • High attention to detail is required for all tasks to maintain effectiveness and credibility.
