The Business Development Representative (BDR) utilizes a combination of telephone calls and email follow-up to contact prospects to develop potential sales leads for the sales team. The BDR is also responsible for the documentation of their prospecting efforts.

This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories)

What You'll Do
  • Conduct outbound prospecting cold calls, emails, and social media to generate qualified leads
  • Research and identify potential customers using tools like ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn, CRM software, and industry databases
  • Qualify leads through discovery conversations to understand business needs and pain points
  • Set up meetings or calls between qualified prospects and the sales team
  • Maintain accurate and current records of all activities in the CRM system (NetSuite)
  • Collaborate with marketing to follow up on leads and campaigns
  • Meet and exceed KPIs including outreach volume (calls, emails, social touches) and qualified opportunities generated

 

Your Team

You will be welcomed as a member of the Sales Training Team, a team of about 15 people, and the larger Sales and Marketing organization. Our team enjoys the flexibility and greater work life balance working remotely offers. There will be ample resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as a Business Development Representative and your development and career growth at EIS.

About You
  • 2+ years of professional business experience with a strong interest in building a career in sales.
  • Ability and desire to make cold calls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build rapport with customers and colleagues
