Job description

Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, standing at the forefront of technology and entertainment. Leveraging AI and predictive algorithms, Inkitt discovers unknown stories and turns them into blockbuster hits, producing a new $1M ebook every 7 days and selling directly to consumers through its Inkitt Galatea app. Bestsellers are then translated onto the screen through Inkitt CandyJar, the #1 US-based microdrama platform with billions of episodes streamed to date. Inkitt has become the 11th most bestseller-generating publisher in the world, boasting a 40x higher hit-rate than traditional publishers. Backed by some of the top VC's such as: Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures, our recent expansion into Ironblood, the first AI Native streaming platform for action and adventure, is only the beginning of our journey to becoming the next-gen entertainment powerhouse.
What You'll Do:
  • Read books to extract key tropes and scenes; synthesize into punchy hooks and creative briefs engineered to drive installs across paid social media channels including Meta and TikTok.
  • Write net new "deleted scenes" optimized for short attention spans and maximum #drama.
  • Create bestselling authors: identify books with high potential and develop strategies to make them go viral.
  • Stay deeply plugged into BookTok, Bookstagram, and Reddit to identify trending tropes and formats before they peak.
  • Own the paid creative production lifecycle for User Acquisition campaigns, working with designers and providing feedback as they execute on your briefs.
  • Work with the UA team to translate performance data into creative insights that inform iterations and new concepts.
  • A/B testing: learn to think like a scientist, running creative experiments to inform and constantly optimize your creative strategy.
  • Experiment with AI video tools and image editing to independently build and iterate on creative assets.
  • Manage external production partners for more complex creative executions.

What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in creative strategy or content marketing, ideally in a role that involves use of social analytics or data and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills built for social media and short attention spans. You know how to grab attention and build an emotional arc that leaves the viewer desperate to find out what happens next.
  • A genuine love of all things romance: books, movies, TV. You're up-to-date with viral series like Off Campus and The Summer I Turned Pretty-and you know what ACOTAR is!
  • Active engagement on BookTok, Bookstagram, or romance reading communities. You know what's trending, what tropes are having a moment, and what's coming next.
  • Experience creating content for social media.
  • Strong analytical instincts and/or a hunger to learn: comfortable in Google Sheets/Excel and able to connect creative decisions to data.
  • Proficiency with creative tools: CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, and AI video tools.
  • A bias toward action. You move fast, learn fast, and stay curious!

Who We Are Looking For:
  • Autonomous
  • Bring solutions instead of problems
  • Data driven
  • Quick to action
  • A high functioning workaholic
  • Looking for exponential career growth
  • Have lots of fun building a generational AI x Entertainment company

What We'll Offer:
  • 401k plan, designed to help you save for the future
  • Health benefits tailored to your needs, including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Professional coaching for everyone
  • Team-building events, including our annual Tulum trip
  • Unlimited access to our Galatea app and CandyJarTV app
  • Unlimited budget for self-development books
  • Charity donation of your choice at your one year anniversary
  • Free lunch in office everyday
  • Class Pass membership for US based employee and gym access for Berlin employees
  • Dog friendly offices in Berlin and San Francisco

$80,000 - $120,000 a year
Salary offers are determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the requirements of the role, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.
At Inkitt, we strive to build a company culture and provide employment opportunities based on diversity and inclusion. We believe every author should have an equal opportunity to succeed, as should our team members. As a growing team from 20+ countries, we welcome everyone to apply.
We look forward to hearing from you!
