Some positions may also involve handling returns or resolving delivery issues.

What does an eBay Delivery do?

A typical day for an eBay Delivery worker involves picking up packages from sellers or distribution centers, planning delivery routes, and ensuring safe, prompt deliveries to buyers. You may interact with customers face-to-face or over the phone to confirm delivery times and locations, and you’ll often use mobile apps or handheld devices to scan and track shipments. Challenges can include navigating traffic, handling multiple deliveries within tight timeframes, and ensuring packages remain secure and undamaged. The role is fast-paced and independent, but you frequently coordinate with other delivery drivers, customer service, and logistics staff to meet delivery goals.

  • Own budget management, including seller incentives, marketing, and programming investments to maximize ROI

Define & Execute Category Strategy

  • Determine what to prioritize, when, why, and how across supply growth, demand generation, content, trust, and product capabilities
  • Translate strategy into clear roadmaps and execution plans across teams

Drive Supply Growth & Seller Success
  • Define assortment strategy, including target buyer segments and inventory profiles
  • Set clear criteria for seller selection and onboarding using analytics, pattern recognition, and merchant intuition
  • Partner with Business Development to recruit, onboard, and scale high-potential sellers
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements and incentive structures with sellers and vendors

Build Compelling Live Commerce Experiences

  • Develop and continuously refine run-of-show playbooks that push the boundaries of live shopping
  • Ensure eBay Live stands apart in Trading Cards through trusted sellers, strong inventory, differentiated programming, and a buyer experience rooted in confidence and fun.

Lead at Scale, Cross-Functionally
  • Lead a diverse cross-functional group including Business Development, onboarding, account management, programming, operations, and product partners
  • Influence senior stakeholders across eBay to align resources, remove blockers, and deliver category outcomes.
  • Drive execution with the rigor of an operator and the adaptability of a startup founder
  • Build, hire, coach, and retain a high-performing direct team (5-10), including entrepreneurial category managers as new verticals are launched
  • Evolve team structure, operating rhythms, and category processes as Trading Cards scales on eBay Live

What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent; MBA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant ecommerce, marketplace, or retail experience, including direct work with sellers and/or brands
  • Experience in Trading Cards, collectibles, sports memorabilia, hobby retail, or enthusiast commerce strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience owning or influencing P&L, GMV, or revenue targets
  • Strong interest in, or experience with, live selling, video commerce, or creator-led marketplaces
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing teams with entrepreneurial DNA
  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive category where trust, selection, speed, and experience quality matter.
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify patterns, set direction, and iterate quickly
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and build trusted seller relationships
