Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific goals and physical limitations.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain through evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, management of their conditions, and preventative measures to promote overall health.
• Maintain accurate and efficient documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in care team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and address any concerns regarding progress.
• Stay updated with the latest research and trends in physical therapy, applying new methodologies to improve service delivery.
• Foster strong professional relationships with patients while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Physical Therapist will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients, with specific focus on those suffering from spinal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, ranging from young adults seeking recovery post-injury to elderly patients managing chronic pain and mobility issues. Your role will be crucial in helping these individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (BSPT), or a Master’s degree (MSPT), or Doctorate (DPT).
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida must be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
• CPR certification, which must remain current, either upon hire or obtained during orientation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient ortho rehabilitation with a focus on spine conditions is highly preferred, allowing seamless integration into our existing team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical records systems is advantageous to facilitate efficient documentation and reporting.
