What are Eastern Shore jobs?

Eastern Shore jobs refer to employment opportunities located in the Eastern Shore region, which typically encompasses the eastern coastal areas of states like Maryland and Virginia. These jobs span a wide range of industries, including agriculture, seafood processing, tourism, education, healthcare, and retail. The Eastern Shore is known for its rural charm, waterfront communities, and unique economic landscape. Common roles may include positions in farming, fishing, hospitality, and local government. Job seekers are attracted to the area for its slower pace of life and close-knit communities.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working on the Eastern Shore, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals working on the Eastern Shore often encounter challenges related to limited access to resources and a smaller local job market compared to metropolitan areas. Networking opportunities may be fewer, and some roles require adapting to a close-knit community culture. To address these challenges, job seekers can leverage online networking platforms, participate in local industry events, and stay proactive in seeking professional development opportunities. Building strong relationships within the community and staying connected with regional professional associations can also enhance career growth.

Design Luxury Outdoor Living Spaces That Families Will Enjoy for Years

Ashton Pools By Design is looking for a creative Landscape Designer who enjoys working directly with homeowners and transforming ideas into stunning outdoor living environments.

You'll design custom swimming pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, fire features, landscaping, and complete backyard transformations for homeowners throughout Coastal Delaware and the surrounding Maryland Eastern Shore.

Pool industry experience is not required.

If you have a strong design background, enjoy learning new technology, and love creating outdoor spaces that become reality, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare HOA submission packages.
  • Deliver complete design packages ready for estimating.
  • Collaborate closely with the Owner and internal team to keep projects moving through the design process.

This position is focused on design and client experience. It is not a construction drafting, engineering, or construction management position.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience designing residential outdoor spaces.
  • Is highly computer proficient and enjoys learning new software.
  • Understands grading, drainage, elevations, and site planning.
  • Communicates professionally with homeowners.
  • Welcomes constructive feedback from homeowners and teammates and uses it to continually improve each design.
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative team.

Experience We Value

Experience in one or more of the following:
