Job description

Account Manager I - Recovery/Collections Department

Contract to Hire

  • Location: Newark, DE (on-site)
  • Schedule:
    • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
    • 2 nights/week, 12-9pm
    • Some Saturdays, 8am-12pm
  • Compensation: $16/hour + monthly bonus potential

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with clients and collectors on debt accounts
  • Arrange suitable payment plans once contact with debtor has been made and follow up on payments
  • Manage all accounts until paid, settled, cured from delinquency or deemed uncollectible by management
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of account activity
  • Perform all phases of skip tracing

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service, telemarketing, or collections; agency or bank recovery preferred
  • Ability to work well independently and under pressure to meet/exceed company deadlines
  • Goal-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be available for entire training program
