ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform lofting, nesting, and template preparation as required by project level.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to support fabrication processes.
  • Support plate and structure planning for hull and outfitting items.
  • Address drawing clarifications and part location requirements.
  • Use 3D models to support production clarity and build strategy alignment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
This position will report to Lofting Manager
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in technical drafting or shipbuilding support.

Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar CAD software.
  • Detail-oriented with an eagerness to learn ship construction practices.
  • Good organizational and communication skills

Working Conditions
Work may occur both in an office and occasionally in production or shipyard settings. Noise level is generally moderate.
Physical Activity/Requirements
This position may involve occasional lifting, walking in shipyard environments, and frequent use of computer systems in an office setting.
