We are currently seeking a full-time Primary Care/Addiction Physician at the Eastern Correction Institution (ECI) in Westover, Maryland. Salary Includes a $25K Sign-on Bonus

The Primary Care/Addiction Medicine Physician provides prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for patients with unhealthy substance use or substance-related health conditions in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the SUD Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate services are provided.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
  • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required Board certified, or Board eligible, or qualified by state laws/regulations to practice medicine
  • Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background check
  • One to two years' experience in a progressive supervisory or management position in an outpatient/inpatient substance abuse program
  • Two years' experience providing direct care in a community or correctional substance abuse program
