Job description

Independent Contractor Opportunity – Food Pickup and Delivery Services Fulflld is seeking self-employed independent contractors with SUVs or vans to perform food pickup and delivery services for a scheduled meal marketplace operating across multiple markets including New York/New Jersey, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, DC, and California. Nature of the Work This opportunity involves two primary types of routes you may choose to accept: Food Pickups: You will pick up prepared meals from home cooks, either by going door-to-door or meeting cooks at a designated outpost location. You will also distribute reusable supplies to cooks during pickups. Picked-up orders are transported to a local hub for sorting. Deliveries: You will deliver orders from the hub to customers following a provided route sequence.

You must take clear proof-of-delivery photos showing the order and address details. In some markets, you will also collect reusable containers and supplies from customers during delivery. Market-Specific Details New York/New Jersey: Door-to-door pickups starting at 7am, typically 2-3 hours covering 6-7 stops. Orders must arrive at the hub by 11am.

Deliveries require collecting reusable containers from customers. A middle-mile transfer route between NY and NJ is also available. Seattle, Chicago, Boston, DC, Bay Area: Outpost pickups where you arrive at a designated location (typically 8am local time) and wait approximately one hour for cooks to drop off their orders. You will distribute supplies from a nearby storage unit (access provided).

Deliveries operate in Seattle and Chicago only. What to Expect Routes are provided one day in advance through a driver app. Pickup routes involve wait time as cooks arrive within a window. If a cook is running late, you may need to wait 5-10 minutes depending on the day and volume, or contact dispatch for guidance. Delivery routes must be completed in the sequence provided within designated delivery windows. Follow all instructions in the app notes for each order. Hub personnel will unload pickups from your vehicle.

For deliveries, you pick up pre-sorted orders from the hub at a designated time. If the hub is delayed and you wait 30 minutes or more, you will be compensated for wait time in 30-minute increments. You are responsible for tolls. An EZ tag or similar toll pass is required to minimize toll costs. Compensation Pickup routes: Paid hourly due to wait time involved. Delivery routes: Paid per completed delivery plus mileage. In New York/New Jersey only: Additional per-item payment for reusable containers collected (10 cents per container) and supply drop-offs. Payment is issued weekly. Requirements Vehicle: SUV or van in good condition with adequate cargo space. Availability: Routes are available on varying days depending on market.

New York/New Jersey and Seattle operate Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Chicago operates Sunday through Thursday. Bay Area operates Sunday through Friday.

Boston and DC operate Sunday through Tuesday. Reliability: Routes must start on time. Pickup routes have strict hub drop-off deadlines. Attention to detail: Proof-of-delivery photos must clearly show the order and address. Follow all app instructions precisely. This opportunity suits independent contractors seeking predictable, recurring routes with transparent pay structures.

Many contractors perform services long-term due to the consistency of available routes.
