Dallas School District No. 2 is accepting applications for a part-time (5.5 Hours a day) Title 1 Educational Assistant at Oakdale Heights Elementary School.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be over the age of 18 and have a high school diploma/GED. In addition, an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience working with unique behavioral needs of students.
  • Ability to deal in an empathetic manner with students and to deliver instructional programs to these students.
  • Ability to complete physical requirements of kneeling, bending, reaching, sitting on chair/floor, walking, squatting, crawling, running, quick movements, and climbing stairs.
  • Work effectively in a team situation/collaborative problem-solving strategies.
  • Work independently in the absence of direct teacher contact, to carry out the instructional program. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and maintain confidential information.

This position requires a successful completion of a Local Paraprofessional Assessment
or the ability to provide the district with copies of transcripts showing two years of college-level coursework.
