Job description

The Global Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction, roadmap, and operational excellence of PPG's Jaggaer ePro and Air Freight products. This role ensures each product delivers measurable business value, aligns with Procurement's global strategies, and maintains stable, high-quality operations. The Product Owner also leads the Global Support Team, providing oversight into frontline support, global adoption, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
    Own and continuously evolve a global, outcome-driven product roadmap aligned with procurement and enterprise priorities.
  • Conduct market, industry, and technology research to identify opportunities, customer needs, and benchmarks.
  • Define product vision, success metrics, and key objectives/results that drive business outcomes.
  • Prioritize the backlog using data-driven decision frameworks.
  • Execution & Delivery
  • Lead Agile product management practices including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Own Project Management responsibilities for key initiatives within the Jaggaer ePro and Air Freight product space
  • Collaborate closely with IT, product team, and external partners to deliver enhancements, fixes, and major releases.
  • Ensure high-quality, stable, and compliant product operations (system uptime, release quality, issue resolution).
  • Partner with ePro deployment team for smooth transition of support to operations.
  • Stakeholder Alignment
  • Act as the primary liaison with Jaggaer and other platform vendors for alignment, escalations, and capability planning.
  • Engage global stakeholders to gather requirements, align on capability needs, and drive adoption of best practices.
  • Communicate roadmap progress, risks, decisions, and product performance.
    Operational Leadership
  • Manage and develop the Global Support Team, ensuring excellence in frontline support, SLA performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee global governance, process standardization, and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Manage product and team budgeting, vendor spend, and project financials.
  • Implement an operational strategy for products post deployment
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and simplification across procurement workflows.
  • Monitor analytics, KPIs, and customer feedback to proactively address gaps and guide product evolution.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product analyst, or equivalent product roles.
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Contract (S2C), and Supplier
    Management processes.
  • Experience with Jaggaer, Coupa, Ariba procurement platforms, or ERP systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated success working in Agile environments.
  • Global Product Owner will assume responsibility for Jaggaer ePro and Air Freight tools. Role will manage the 5 members of the Global Support team and will report directly to me.
