Senior Technical Trainer

  • Location & Coverage: APAC coverage / Primarily based at the Giheung Training Center (approx. 70–80%), with regular travel to the Shanghai Training Center (approx. one week per quarter)
  • Training Language: English
  • Portfolio: Primarily Electron Microscopy – approx. 80% SEM, with the remaining 20% covering TEM, FIB-SEM, Mass Spectrometry, and other related technologies
  • Preferred Experience: Experience with analytical instruments is preferred

DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Customer Service Training Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to deliver high-quality training programs that support our customers and internal teams. You'll participate on creation educational content and support training initiatives across our product portfolios, from analytical instruments to laboratory solutions. In this collaborative environment, you'll work with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive training strategies that enhance customer experience and drive success. This role combines technical expertise with facilitation skills to deliver learning solutions through multiple modalities, including workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning platforms.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in technical training, product management, or customer education roles
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related scientific/technical field
• Instructional design or adult education certifications beneficial
• Train-the-trainer certification advantageous
• Technical knowledge of relevant product lines (e.g., chromatography, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy)
• Experience developing and delivering both technical and soft-skills training programs
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills for both in-person and virtual environments
• Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Brainshark) beneficial
• Project management capabilities and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Ability to create engaging training materials and documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and content creation tools
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology) preferred
• Ability to travel up to 30-50% as required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with teams
• Self-directed with organizational and time management abilities
