JOB DESCRIPTION

The Software Developer will support the government customer in Tampa, FL. Through this position they will integrate into a Modernization Team of developers bringing enhancements and capabilities through development utilizing Python, JavaScript and Arcade within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem.


MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Developer, you will join a collaborative team supporting a military customer on-site to deliver advanced geospatial solutions. You will be responsible for modernizing legacy Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) datasets to create an updated catalogue of geospatial data holdings while preserving attribution. You will deploy GIS data to authorized users through web services, standardized formats, and supporting datasets. You will create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and data schemas to guide georeferencing and the integration of spatial features, publish geospatial content to the web and streamline related workflows, train stakeholders on GIS tools and processes, and provide informed recommendations on future technology investments and architectural improvements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with modern ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Hands-on experience with building interior and exterior data in GIS and CAD.
  • Demonstrated experience with geodatabase design and development.
  • Familiarity with web services for GIS data deployment.
  • 3+ years of programming experience with relevant tools and libraries (e.g., Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Geoprocessing Tools).

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience developing geospatial products using manually collected data (e.g., photos, GPS, drones).
  • Experience with data science tools and formats such as SciKit, Pandas, GeoPandas, JSON, and GeoJSON.
  • Knowledge of advanced GIS tools and technologies (e.g., Esri Portal, Tile Servers).
  • Experience with ArcGIS Portal APIs, custom widgets or Android app development.


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Security clearance level: Current DoW TOP-SECRET Clearance with SCI eligibility is required
  • Experience: 1+ years of related experience
  • Education: Bachelors degree OR professional certification in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Role requirements: 5 days on-site at customer's facility (MacDill AFB, FL)
  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
